What the Vegasstars live casino offers

Roulette has the most tables in the Vegasstars live casino. Vegastars Roulette and Vegastars Auto Mega Roulette carry the casino's name. Next to them are Gates of Olympus Roulette, Crystal Roulette, Speed Roulette 1 and Privé Lounge Roulette Deluxe. Blackjack comes as Vegastars Blackjack, Vegastars VIP Blackjack, ONE Blackjack and VIP Blackjack 1. Baccarat players get Amazing Baccarat and Seotda Baccarat.

Game shows have a group of their own. Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, Money Time, Treasure Island, Crazy Coin Flip and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand were all listed when we saved the lobby, which is a fairly standard selection for a casino that takes its live content from Evolution and Pragmatic Play.

A branded table is still a studio product. In the lobby, the Vegastars Blackjack row is labelled Pragmatic Play. The casino adds its name, and the studio runs the game.

Know which version you're playing

Two roulette tables can play quite differently. European roulette has one zero and a house edge of about 2.7%. American roulette adds a double zero, which takes the edge to about 5.3%. Tables with random multipliers pay less on a straight-up number to fund them.

Blackjack rules move the odds too. Check the payout for a blackjack first. 3:2 is the standard, and a 6:5 table costs you noticeably more over time. Then see whether the dealer hits or stands on soft 17, and when you can double or split.

At baccarat, a winning banker bet usually pays a 5% commission. No-commission tables drop that and cut one banker payout instead. Side bets such as Pairs carry a much higher house edge than the three main bets.

Roulette bets in plain numbers

Roulette bets split into inside and outside bets. Inside bets cover single numbers or small groups. A straight-up number pays 35 to 1, a split pays 17 to 1 and a corner pays 8 to 1. Outside bets cover big groups. Red or black, odd or even and high or low all pay even money, and dozens and columns pay 2 to 1.

On a single-zero wheel, the house edge is the same on almost every bet. Betting on red isn't safer in the long run than betting on 17. It only changes how often you win and how much each win pays. The zero is the reason the casino comes out ahead.

Blackjack basics that change the odds

Blackjack is the one live game where your decisions matter. Basic strategy, a chart showing the best play for every hand against every dealer card, brings the house edge down to around half a per cent at a table with good rules. Played on hunches, the same game costs a good deal more.

Some tables, such as ONE Blackjack and other shared-hand formats, deal one hand to an unlimited number of players. Each player still decides alone whether to hit or stand. These tables never fill up, but rounds run slower while everyone decides.

Bet limits and side bets

The minimum in the lobby is the minimum for the main bet, and side bets come with limits and pay tables of their own, so the real cost of a round depends on what you add. Put three side bets on one blackjack hand and your stake for that round can easily triple.

Watch the total. The bet panel shows it before each round starts, and at a fast table it's easy to lose count after a few hands.

Timing and dropped connections

Every round opens with a short betting window, and a timer on screen counts it down. Your bet counts only once the table accepts it, which the interface confirms. Chips you place after the timer closes don't count.

The rules panel also explains what happens to an open bet if your connection drops. Read that before you play. The results history is worth knowing about too. It's your record if you ever need to raise a dispute.

Game shows are a different kind of game

Crazy Time and Monopoly Live look simple. A wheel spins, and you bet on where it stops. Underneath there are several bonus rounds, random multipliers and a different house edge for each segment. Read the payout for every segment before you spread chips around the wheel.

Bonus segments come up less often than numbers. In Crazy Time a top-slot multiplier can boost them, and that's where the huge wins in highlight clips come from. It's also why game shows swing much harder than blackjack or baccarat.

Live casino questions the table can't answer

The rules panel covers the game. Account checks, withdrawal limits and complaints are in the casino's general terms. The Vegasstars Casino overview lists what we could and couldn't confirm about the brand.

Planning to use bonus money at a live table? Read the promotions guide first. Live casino games often count for 10% or less towards wagering, and some don't count at all.

Are the Vegastars live casino tables run by the casino?

No. They are studio tables that carry the casino's name. The Vegastars Blackjack row in the lobby is labelled Pragmatic Play.

Does a live dealer make the game fairer?

You can watch the cards or the wheel, which some players trust more than a random number generator. The house edge doesn't move, though. You can still lose.

What is a Speed Roulette table?

A table with a shorter betting window and a faster spin, so more rounds per hour. More rounds per hour also means more money at risk per hour.

Where can I compare live games with pokies?

The online pokies guide covers pay tables and features. The new releases guide shows how to check a game you haven't seen before.
